Outta College, Onto India

I'm leaving January 2 at 6:45PM from O'Hare airport in Chicago. In two days (or, rather, one day because of the international date line) I'll arrive in Varanasi, India from which I'll spend three days adjusting to having been plummeted into a completely different world at the Schindia Guest House until I board a train for Vrindavan, India to rendevous with friends from college.

It's pretty exciting.

I'm reading The Upanisads to prepare (while also reading Thus Spoke Zarathustra, just because).

Also, not being in college is great.

Here's a picture of Varanasi, just to give you all a taste:

You can see the ghats burning there (if you don't know what a ghat is, google it). My guest house is apparently right next to a ghat. The water is the River Ganges. Rad.
